Payments, allocations and corrections
Understand manual receipts, customer credit and preserved correction history.
Record and allocate separately
Current payments are manually recorded receipts. Record the correct customer, method, reference, date and amount. Allocate receipts to issued invoices for that same customer. Unallocated amounts remain customer credit. A recorded receipt is not provider-confirmed settlement.
Correct financial records
Issued financial records cannot be rewritten or deleted through the API. Use the permitted audited reversal, invoice void or credit-note workflow with a reason. Reversing a payment preserves its history and reopens affected outstanding balances. Matched bank receipts must be reopened in reconciliation before reversal.
Statements and exports
Customer statements use a selected reporting period and retain dated correction history. CSV exports preserve exact minor-unit fields and are auditable. Browser printing is distinct from a server-generated, audited PDF export.
